Level 1-3 Full Course
Overview
The Full Kiteboarding Course is designed to train complete beginners with the aim of producing competent and independent kiteboarders. If you have decided that kiteboarding is your sport and are determined to become a kiteboarder, this course is for you! The Full Kiteboarding Course takes 9 hours to complete over a span of 3 days, and at the end of the course you will receive an IKO Certification, which will indicate your skill level and allow you to rent kitesurfing equipment at kite centers around the world.
Day 1
You will start a quick class on the theories behind kiteboarding, and how the equipment works, followed by setup and safety briefings. You’ll learn to control a smaller trainer kite competently before moving on to a larger inflatable kite, where you will learn how to generate the power needed by kiteboarders to start riding.
Day 2
On Day 2 you will apply the kite flying concepts you’ve just learned, adding the board into the equation. You’ll learn to use power strokes with the kite to do a water start and get you up and out of the water and riding on the board.
Day 3
Now that you are up and riding, you’ll learn how to do transitions and change your direction with out stopping. You’ll improve your kite and board control, and with the goal of riding upwind. The aim is to make you a competent kiteboarder so that you can progress with your kiteboarding skills safely.
