Level 2 – Intermediate Course
Overview
The Level 2 Intermeidate Course is a three-hour kiteboarding course designed to get students up and riding on the board. If you have taken your Level 1 Kiteboarder course with us at Habagat, or at another IkO Kite Center, you can continue your kitesurfing journey with us on the Level 2 course.
The goal of this course is to get you up on the board and riding in both directions. You will learn how to correctly perform waterstarts, making powerstrokes with the kite to generate power and get up on the board.
Once up on the board, you’ll learn the proper riding stance, as well as steering and controlling the board to go in a specific direction and to increase or reduce speed.
At the end of the Level 2 Intermediate Course, students should be able to perform the waterstart and control the kite and board to ride n both directions.
If you feel you are decided and want to pursue kiteboarding, we recommend doing the Full Three-day Kiteboarding Course to get your IKO Certification, which will allow you to rent equipment and kitesurf at kite destinations around the world.
